The Jitty

The Jitty is an award-winning community run by young people for young people in Leicestershire. It features an easy to use content management system with discussion forums and links to related sites.

In July 2009 Children and Young People Now gave The Jitty the 'Best interactive media created by young people, for young people' award in their Positive Images Awards. This is well-deserved recognition for all the hard work put in by Jitty members.

Simply click on the photograph that you'd like to read more about, here a small blurb should appear which is linked to the article itself on The Jitty's official website.

Anybody attending tomorrow evening (Thursday’s) Jitty meeting at The Bobbin Youth Centre are reminded that Grace Deakin and Emily Vale will be selling wristband and badges to aid Teenage Cancer Trust. The bands come in three colours - red, dark blue and light blue - and there is an array of badges. All merchandise are just £1 each, which also promotes a charity gig due to happen on Friday, 22 June 2012 at The Soundhouse in Leicester. Tickets for that are £5 or £7 on the door and the gig itself runs right through from 7pm that evening until the early hours of that Saturday morning.
https://www.facebook.com/events/224440174322104/ is the official “Teen Rock Fest” Facebook event page where artistes for the event will be announced first, here you can also pose your questions to Grace or Emily about anything to do with the gig or the charity.
http://www.seetickets.com/Event/TEENROCKFEST/Soundhouse-Leicester/635344 is the link to the See Tickets page where you can purchase your tickets if you so wish to. Note that there might be a slight booking fee that you will avoid if you’re able to buy from Grace or Emily in person.
…and finally, for you Twitterers out there, https://twitter.com/#!/teenrockfest is the official Twitter profile run by Grace and Emily, again, all your questions can be answered here.
In short, help donate and come along on that Friday - it promises to be an amazing evening for everybody - you won’t regret it!
